Every new year time many people takes up a resolution that from this new year on I will start
to live a healthy life, adopt a healthy lifestyle, improve my eating habits, avoid binging, will
stay fit, loose those extra pounds and will look and feel fit. To achieve this resolution they get
their gyms membership renewed, someone join yoga classes, some people find their dietician
contact in their list and follow the diet plan, and many other things just to look slim. They fail
to understand that this can also be harmful because more fat in the body indicates presence of
toxins. When we try to adopt these instant weight loss strategies, sudden detoxing can cause
release of toxins into our blood circulation and can lead to ill effects.

There can also be release of organic pollutants into the blood which can also harm the
internal organs. These pollutants are man-made organic compounds and can be found
anywhere on water, soil and air and can accumulate in human tissue, and have been linked to
variety of illnesses such as obesity, increased sugar levels, low of energy, brain fog, etc.
Research done by National Health And Nutrition Examination Survey 1999-2002 states that
these organic compound pollutants are associated with risk of type-2 diabetes by increasing
insulin resistance and these compounds can also be one of the major cause of obesity. It is
commonly seen that serum concentration of these organic compounds are elevated in people
who have lost weight. Hence, immediate strategy of weight loss can lead to increased
concentration of organic compound pollutants. There are many scientific evidences that
suggest that increased level of toxicity in humans can be due to these pollutants but still they
are not addressed in a manner they should be.

Increased BMI is the ratio of body weight in kilogram divided by height in square meter
(Kg/m2) and waist circumference can be strongly associated with high levels of organic
pollutants in adipose tissue. These pollutants are so harmful to us that it disturbs our

hormonal system which further leads to development of insulin resistance which is an
important marker of weight gain.
These days detox diets are very popular dieting strategies, that helps in toxin elimination and
weight management. But, is this giving us desired results? Sometimes it is commonly seen
despite following healthy organic plant-based diet, fitness regime, people do not get the
desired results which they expect from themselves. They have managed their weight but
suffer from other illnesses. This is majorly because detoxification cycle is not completed and
rather toxins were released into the blood. Weight loss induced toxicity also decreases the
ability of our muscles, and muscle wasting starts because muscles are not able to use fats. It is
found that organochlorines released into the blood during weight loss are associated with a
reduction in thyroid efficiency as thyroid is not able to release enough hormones and it slows
down the metabolism and our body is not able to burn sufficient amount of calories.

What are the sources of these toxins?
How they enter into human body?

70% of people in India are sick and unhealthy due to toxins and harmful chemicals.
They are present everywhere, canned food items, industrial pollutants, certain pesticides, skin
products, make up products. BPA is one of the commonly known sources and it is used to
make protective linings and coatings of food and drinks containers. We should try to avoid
our exposure to these organic compounds but it’s really not easy to do.

Today more than 77,000 chemicals are in active production. Our exposure to these chemicals
has increased a lot . More than 3,000 chemicals are added to our food supply. In the form of
solvents, emulsifiers and preservatives, more than 10,000 chemicals are used in food
processing and storage. Moreover, most of the people have adapted ALCOHOL in their
lifestyle.

The following symptoms are often related to toxicities: allergies, acne, anxiety, burning skin,
brain fog, chronic fatigue, muscle & joints pain, low body temperature, chemical sensitivities,
memory loss, depression, mood swings, eczema, frequent colds or flu, insomnia, loss of
dexterity, and poor concentration.

How our body detoxifies ?

Detoxification is the body’s process of eliminate toxins, which it majorly does through liver,
and kidneys. Also, our lymphatic system, digestive tract, skin, and lungs also play a part in
body detoxification. In summary, these organs create detoxification pathways in the body.
Liver plays a major role in detoxification; it changes fat like molecules (it can be mostly
pollutants) and that can be excreted safely from our body. Some toxins can also be excreted
through sweat that’s why it’s majorly said that exercise is good for our health because it also
helps us in removing toxins from our body.

How can we detoxify efficiently and lose weight?
How Infra-red rays works?

When we lose weight, it’s important to also detoxify efficiently. The best method is non-
invasive Mesotherapy, in this InfraRed ray helps in losing weight and to detoxify. Far
InfraRed therapy involves the use of Far InfraRed rays to gently heal, soothe, stimulate and
detox the body as well as the mind. Far InfraRed Rays are invisible waves of energy that have
the ability to penetrate into the inner-most regions of the tissues, muscles and bones in the
human body. The profuse sweating achieved after a few minutes in Detox carries off deeply
embedded impurities, dead skin and toxins. This detoxification is known as the safest natural
heat therapy for sweating and relaxation. This InfraRed detox creates same amount of
perspiration as a10 km run, which burns 600-900 calories in just 45 minutes. As our body
increases sweat production, to cool itself, our heart works harder to boost circulation, thus it
improves our cardiovascular system. This also helps in strengthening our immune system as
when our body temperature is raised, our system starts fighting with this “artificial fever”.
Sweating helps to detoxify your body, by removing the accumulation of potentially
carcinogenic heavy metals as well as alcohol, nicotine, sodium and cholesterol.
If we are not perspiring, we are missing as much as 40% of our body’s ability to get rid of
toxins. Thus, there is reduction in heavy metals which has been directly related to metabolic
imbalance in body resulting in a decrease in fat stored (lipophilic) toxins which are a big
hurdle in weight loss.

Note : Oligoscan is a test that helps in checking toxins present in body and it’s done at
